The Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors unanimously approved the selection of a lifelong area businessman, Alan Liming, to the post of President/CEO of the XACC. His selection follows an extensive search to replace past president, Barb Zajbel, who left her position late this fall. Liming was chosen over nearly 40 people who applied for the position of President of the Chamber.
...Xenia’s population estimates will be revised to reflect a 27,291 population rather than the 23,656 estimated by the Bureau in July of this year. The Census Bureau conducts a complete census count every ten years and releases annual estimated population updates every July. According to Mr. Percival, “this upward change in the population estimate is a confirmation of what we believed all along. There has been substantial residential and commercial growth in the City; growth that should be reflected in a population increase.”
Area business leaders, community organizations, and individuals were honored for their gifts of time, talent, or funding to Xenia Community Schools at the recent Partners in Education (PIE) Appreciation Breakfast at Faith Community United Methodist Church.
